Financial planning is something that even little children can get involved in. By putting small protocols and habits in place, we can help them develop into sensible spenders and savers in later life. Here are our tips for teaching children fun and enjoyable lessons about money - and how a new moneybox could help along the way!
• Buy a money box to show kids what it feels like to have a little financial independence.
• Before choosing from our novelty money boxes, sit down and list some things it might be fun to save up for. Something small like saving for two weeks to buy a new book can be a great place to start.
• Establishing the habit to save little and often is something lots of folks miss out on thanks to the availability of credit cards and loans. Think about giving pocket money three or four times a week, but in small amounts. Encourage them to save some each time.
• Pocket money for chores is an age-old trick for dads to get out of vacuuming (and mums know it!) Noah’s Ark for a Gender Neutral Nursery
If you haven’t wanted to find out whether you’re expecting a boy or girl, then choosing your nursery decor will be more complicated, as so many designs are engineered to include blue or pink colours.
